Oy Yxpila Boat Yard Ab was founded by Ola Hallman and Perttu Marttila in 1997. Ola Hallman had a long career at the service of the Nautor’s Swan shipyard whilst Perttu Marttila had experience in business management. The two were brought together by a passion for sailing and Swan yachts. After the passing of Ola Hallman in 2011, the ownership of the company remains with Perttu Marttila along with Sofia Hallman and Lina Tuvesson-Hallman.
Oy Yxpila Boat Yard Ab was established to fulfil the demand of a repair yard for used Swan yachts in strong cooperation with Nautor’s Swan. Nautor granted Yxpila Boat Yard the status of an Authorised Service Centre as part of their global network. Yxpila Boat Yard was the only yacht maintenance yard to receive this status in Finland.
Due to changes in Nautor’s policies, the global network of authorised service centres was dissolved, and today Yxpila Boat Yard profiles itself as the Baltic Swan Centre, and repairs, maintains and renews yachts and motor boats of all sizes, regardless of the brand.
